Dr. Richards graduated Magna

Baltimore College of Dental Surgery for four years, graduating near the
top of his class. He then completed a hospital residency at University
Hospital and John Hopkins with special emphasis on oral surgery and
cleft lip and palate treatment. This training was all in preparation
for a three year orthodontic residency which he completed at the
University of Maryland in 1991.
Dr. Richards moved to Ft.
Myers with his family and has been practicing orthodontics in Lee County
for the past 14 years. He is a past President of the Lee County Dental
Society where he has maintained constant membership.
Other memberships include the
Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Florida
Cleft Lip and Palate Association, the Florida Association of
Orthodontists. Dr. Richards is also certified by the American Board of
Orthodontics.
He has also been an important
part of the Lee County Cleft Lip and Palate Team, which meets twice per
month at Health Park Hospital. This treatment is very rewarding to Dr.
Richards who has used this knowledge to treat patients in Central
America mission trips.
Dr. Richards lives in Ft.
Myers with his wife Kimberly and their four children: Whitney, Kelly,
Tyler, and Krystal. He loves sunny southwest Florida and all it has to
offer. He also loves practicing orthodontics and plans to continue
making people smile here for a long time.
