Dr. James
Reagles folding leather bound pocket surgical set. This set contains more than
22 instruments, many of which are folding. The majority of instruments are
marked 'Schively'. Assistant Surgeon Reagles used this pocket set during the
Civil War (serving with the 62 New York-Anderson's Zouves and later during the
Indian War campaigns.

Dr. Reagles folding
pocket surgical set was manufactured by Charles Schively. The name and address
fairly accurately dates the manufacture of this set to about 1855.

Dr. James Reagles capital 'U.S.A. Med.
Dept.' operating surgical set by Gemrig, circa 1870-80. This set
features instruments in two tiers which includes the standard amputation
pieces as well as a Gross bullet forceps, a Brainard bone drill and
resection instruments.

Monogrammed officer's campaign trunk
belonging to Assistant Surgeon James Reagles, U.S. Army. This was used during
his Indian War campaigns, and may have been used during his Civil War service
with the 62nd New York (Anderson's Zouves).
