Assistant Surgeon.
During the Civil War, Dr. Walker served as a full surgeon (Major)
in the 25th Indiania Volunteer Infantry, Aug. 19, 1861, made Major
Oct. 20, 1862; Ft. Donaldson, Feb. 12-16, 1862; Shiloh Apl. 6-7,
1864; Resigned and discharged for disability June 10, 1864.
Died from disease
contracted when in the service Feb. 8, 1865.
