On display: Civil War as well as pre- and post-War surgical sets, Civil War medical and surgical antiques, civilian amputation and surgical sets by some of the most famous American instrument makers of the mid 1800's.  The site contains over 784 pages covering from 1820 to 1870 surgical instruments and Civil War medical topics using 7,174 photos to help identify and differentiate Civil War era surgical and medical sets from earlier and later examples.  There is no where else on the internet where you can obtain the information as presented on this web site.
