Partial Civil War Hernstein Set

A lesson in 'dissecting' a real Civil  War surgical set to figure out what is there and what is missing!

Tourniquet is in area where trepanning instruments should be.  Trepanning instruments and section for holding instruments is missing.  Tourniquet partition is missing.  Trephine handle, trephine, and brush is missing.

Military set, but unmarked on cartouche, large forceps are marked U.S.A Hosp. Dept.
