Medical Textbooks Dated 1855 to 1865

Dr. Michael collects and buys Civil War medical textbooks published from 1855 to 1865.  This collection is about the time frame when most of the surgeons who were active during the War would have been educated or were being supplied by the Surgeon General's Office with current texts for their continuing education.  The more famous of the authors were actively in practice at leading medical schools or in the military service prior to the Civil War.  Medical books are wanted for this collection.  Please contact Dr. Echols for discussion or evaluation of your medical books published 1855 to 1865.
