Almost Candy Bars

bullet

Pam cooking spray

bullet

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

bullet

3 tablespoons fat-free sour cream

bullet

3 tablespoons chocolate syrup

bullet

1 (18.4 oz.) box Pillsbury Moist Supreme devil’s Food Cake Mix

bullet

¾ cup butterscotch chips

bullet

¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

bullet

1 (3.5 ounce) can Bakers Angel Flake Coconut

bullet

¾ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

bullet

1 (14 ounce) can fat-free Eagle Bran condensed milk

Heat oven to 350 and coat a 13 x 9 metal baking pan with cooking spray.

Heat butter in microwave in glass measuring cup until just melted. Stir sour cream and chocolate syrup into melted butter and mix until smooth.

Put cake mix into large bowl and drizzle butter mixture over the top. Stir until moistened but still crumbly. Press evenly into bottom of prepared pan.

Sprinkle top of cake mix evenly with butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all ingredients.

Bake until light golden brown, about 30 minutes. Cool completely and cut into bars.

NOTE: A good friend in Eustis sent this recipe to me. She found it in the Orlando Sentinel. It is similar to the Seven Layer Cookie recipe previously shared, except that the bottom layer is chocolate cake. I DID use the fat free sour cream and condensed milk. I also used unsalted butter and walnuts.
