Apple-Blueberry Crunch

bullet1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
bullet1 (12 ounce) package frozen blueberries
bullet½ cup sugar
bullet1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
bullet½ cup butter, melted
bullet1 cup chopped walnuts
bulletIce cream, yogurt, or whipped topping of choice

Spread apple pie filling on bottom of a 13 x 9 pan.

Ross together froze blueberries and sugar and spoon over apple pie filling.

Spread dry cake mix over fruit mixture. Drizzle cake mix with melted butter and top with walnuts.

Bake 350 for 50-60 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve with topping of choice.

NOTE: This is in the May 2002 Southern Living. The recipe called for a 14 ounce bag of blueberries to be mixed with ¾ cup sugar. All I could find was a 12 ounce bag and so I used ½ cup. The recipe also called for an extra ½ cup of sugar to be sprinkled over the nuts before baking, but I did not do that! I served it with vanilla/raspberry yogurt and we really did like it! Do check it after 50 minutes, tho. Sometimes in recipes like this the center of the cake takes longer to get done than around the edges.
