Baklava
Mix butter, nuts, and spices. In a 17 x 12 pan, spread out phyllo dough one sheet at a time, spraying each lightly with butter. Every 4th sheet, top with above mixture. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Cool, cut into diamond shapes, and top with syrup. Syrup:
Boil ten minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and pour over cut baklava. NOTE: Someone emailed and asked if I had a recipe for Baklava. I called my aunt and got her recipe. She makes it and it is truly wonderful. I don’t care for things quite this sweet, and by nature this is a VERY sweet dessert. It is a good recipe, though, and she was happy to share!
