Broccoli with Orange Sauce

1 bunch broccoli

¼ cup butter, cut up

1 teaspoon cornstarch

½ cup orange juice

bullet

1 TBSP grated orange peel

bullet

Cut flowerets off stem and steam 3-5 minutes.

Melt butter in small skillet or pan. Whisk in cornstarch until smooth. Gradually stir in orange juice and orange peel. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2-5 minutes, until thickened. Place broccoli into serving bowl and top with orange sauce.

NOTE: This is from the April/May 2004 edition of Taste of Home. The recipe called for two ten ounce packages of frozen broccoli spears, but I chose to use fresh broccoli. It has a really refreshing taste and we both enjoyed it. I served it with some Margaretville Jerk Shrimp which I bought at Sams, and yellow rice. The shrimp is quite spicy and made the broccoli taste "cool".
