Caramelized Pears

2 tablespoons butter |

4 firm ripe pears, sliced |
|
1 teaspoon sugar |
Melt butter in large skillet. Add pears and sugar. Saute until pears are tender and deep golden, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for later addition to salads.
