Double Chocolate Brownies

bullet

1 cup butter or margarine, softened

bullet

2 cups sugar

bullet

4 large eggs

bullet

1 cup unsweetened cocoa

bullet1 teaspoon vanilla extract
bullet1 cup all-purpose flour
bullet1 cup chopped pecans
bullet2/3 cup white chocolate or semisweet chocolate morsels

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until blended.

Add cocoa and vanilla; beat at low speed one minute or until blended. Gradually add flour, beating well.

Stir in pecans and morsels. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 baking pan and bake on 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

NOTE: This is in the April 2004 Southern Living. I used Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa and white chocolate morsels when I made it. It was quite easy to do and one of the most moist brownie recipes I’ve ever made!
