Garlic Grits

Cook for 1-2 minutes:

bullet

1 ¼ cup water

bullet

½ cup quick cooking grits

Add to this and cook until melted:

bullet

½ roll Kraft garlic cheese, cut up

bullet

½ stick butter, cut up

Stir in the following, which have been warmed:

bullet

1 cup milk

bullet

1 well beaten egg

Mix well and pour into buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 350 for one hour.

NOTE:  It is great with any sort of BBQ: chicken, pork, ribs, and also fish. The portions given are actually for half the recipe, but it is plenty for us. If you double it, put it in a 13x9 pan. And if you line it with foil it’s a piece of cake to clean. Because no matter how much you butter it, it will stick! I usually put the milk and egg in a small saucepan on low and let them heat while I’m doing the rest. Its fast and easy to put together and good to eat! Kraft garlic cheese is at Publix and is in a roll in the dairy case.
