Green Beans with Crushed Almonds

 

 

bullet1/2 lb. Green beans, trimmed
bullet1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
bullet1 clove garlic, minced
bullet1/4 cup almonds, finely ground

Cook beans in boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes, and drain.

Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over moderate heat. Add garlic, stirring until it just begins to turn golden, about one minute.

Add almonds and cook, stirring, until they begin to color slightly, about two minutes.

Add beans and cook, stirring, until tender and heated thru, about two minutes.

Season with salt and fresh ground pepper

Serves 2.
