Layered Nacho Dip

bullet

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans

bullet

1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

bullet

1 (6 ounce) carton avocado dip

bullet

1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream

bullet

1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped ripe olives

bullet

2 large tomatoes, diced

bullet

1 small onion, finely diced

bullet

1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles

bullet

1 ½ cups (6 ounces) Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese

Combine beans and seasoning mix; spread bean mixture in a 12 x 8 dish. Layer remaining ingredients in order listed. Serve with corn ships.

NOTE: I found this years ago in the 1981 Southern Living Yearbook and used to make it for parties. It was ALWAYS a hit! If you make it in an 8 x 12 pan, the layers are very thin. You can double everything and make it in one of the aluminum pans (13 x 9) you can buy at Publix that has a clear cover to snap over it. It will fill the pan completely.
