Marinated Cole Slaw
Layer:
| 1 head cabbage, shredded |
| 2 onions |
| Boil and pour over vegetables: |
| 1-cup sugar |
| 1 cup white vinegar |
| ¾ cup vegetable oil |
| 1 teaspoon dry mustard |
| 1-teaspoon celery seed |
| 1-tablespoon salt |
Cover in casserole dish and refrigerate 3 days. The longer it sits, the better it is. And when its eaten, throw in some tomatoes and cucumbers and you can still enjoy it!
NOTE: This from a friend in Eustis and was included in the Eustis Service League cookbook, as have some of the other shared recipes. It’s a great cole slaw to serve with BBQ, fish, chicken, or pork! Truly, the longer it sits, the better it is!
