Mexican Dip Miscellaneous recipes

bullet1 brick (8 ounces) cream cheese
bullet¼ cup Salsa
bullet¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
bullet2 TBSP sliced black olives
bullet1 TBSP chopped fresh cilantro

Place unwrapped block of cream cheese on microwaveable plate; top with salsa, shredded cheese, and olives.

Microwave for 45-60 seconds or until cheese is melted; sprinkle with cilantro.

Serve with crackers.

NOTE: This is from Kraft, on their web site. I used the "one-third less fat" cream cheese and medium salsa. I also just shredded cheddar over it with my microplane. I also used sliced black olives with jalapenos, as we enjoy spicy things. And I did use fresh cilantro. I think next time; tho, I’ll add a bit more salsa. The whole thing was quick and easy and we really enjoyed it! On New Year’s Eve we always stay home and have an appetizer at 9:00, and this year, I’d found this recipe and wanted to try it. And we truly "ate the whole thing" between the two of us! I did serve it with "low fat and low sodium" Breton’s crackers, which were really good and crisp and a great size!
