Jane Echols

Ft. Myers, Florida

Peach Cobbler

bullet

1 cup self-rising flour

bullet

1 cup sugar

bullet

1 cup milk

bullet

1 stick butter

bullet

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

bullet

1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

bullet

1 quart fresh peaches

Melt butter in bottom of casserole.

Mix flour, sugar, (cinnamon), milk, (and vanilla) together and pour over melted butter.

Pour fruit over mixture and bake at 350 for 50 minutes.

Serve alone or with vanilla ice cream sprinkled with nutmeg.

NOTE: This is my recipe without the cinnamon and vanilla. Michael's mother adds those and that is how he grew eating it, so that is what I add now. It is good both ways!
