Pear Pecan Dessert

 

 

Crust:

1/2 cup butter

bullet

1/3 cup sugar

bullet

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

bullet

3/4 cup flour

bullet

2/3 cup chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar; blend in vanilla; add flour and mix; add nuts.

Spread and press into bottom of greased 9x9 pan.

Bake 350 for 20 minutes. Cool completely.

Filling:

8 oz cream cheese

bullet

1/4 cup sugar

bullet

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

bullet

1 egg

Blend cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Blend well. Pour over cooled crust. Refrigerate until set, 1-2 hours.

Topping:

1 large can pears, cut up and drained

1 teaspoon sugar

bullet

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over pears.

Bake 325 for 25 minutes. Refrigerate until cold.

 

NOTE: For 9x13 pan, double crust recipe, triple filling, double topping.
