Prepare a 9" pie shell. Do not bake.

Break eggs into a large mixing bowl and beat well. Add sugar, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and butter ONE INGREDIENT AT A TIME, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans.

Pour into pie shell and bake one hour at 350 degrees. Pie filling will set and be firm when done.

NOTE: This recipe was in the News-Press. One of the ladies who founded the restaurant in LaBelle, which is known for its desserts, died. They had a write up and included the pecans pie recipe. I made it and took it to the office and was told it was a DEFINITE for the web site!
