Shrimp LaMaize

bullet

1 pint Mayonnaise

bullet

1 bottle of chili sauce

bullet

½ cup India relish (drained)

bullet

3 hard boiled eggs, coarsely grated

bullet

1 onion, finely grated

bullet

1 teaspoon dry mustard

Mix together and add to 2-3 pounds large cooked shrimp and 1-pound crab (not canned.) Put in refrigerator until thoroughly cold and serve over lettuce.

NOTE: I got this recipe back in the 70s from an Italian lady in Lake Mary, near Orlando. She served it as a first course at a dinner party, but I served it for us as a meal. I used Miracle Whip and Heinz Chili Sauce. I also took my eggs and did them in an egg slicer, both horizontally and vertically and grated the onion in the cuisinart. The India Relish can be found by the pickle relish in Publix. For the four of us I just used one pound each of large shrimp and fake crab and part of the sauce. I did not use all the sauce and there is easily enough for me to get more shrimp and crab and have another meal for the two of us.
