Spaghetti with meat sauce

2 lbs. Ground meat |
|
1 large onion, chopped |
|
1 medium green pepper, chopped |
|
2 cans (28 oz. each) whole tomatoes, drained and pureed in blender |

2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce |
|
1 can (14.5 oz.) beef broth |
|
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste |
|
4 garlic cloves, minced |
|
2 teaspoons EACH dried basil, oregano, thyme, and Italian seasoning |
|
Salt and Pepper to taste |
Brown meat, onion, and pepper in large skillet and drain. Return to large pot and add tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, beef broth, and all seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cover and simmer 2-3 hours. Serve over spaghetti noodles and top with parmesan cheese.
NOTE: I know everyone has a favorite spaghetti recipe. This is a variation of one I found in TASTE OF HOME magazine with my own additions and deletions. We both really liked the flavor of it, so I thought I'd share. It makes a lot, so there is plenty to freeze for future meals! Hope you enjoy it, too!
