Spaghetti with meat sauce

2 lbs. Ground meat

1 large onion, chopped

bullet

1 medium green pepper, chopped

bullet

2 cans (28 oz. each) whole tomatoes, drained and pureed in blender

2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce

bullet

1 can (14.5 oz.) beef broth

bullet

1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste

bullet

4 garlic cloves, minced

bullet

2 teaspoons EACH dried basil, oregano, thyme, and Italian seasoning

Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Brown meat, onion, and pepper in large skillet and drain. Return to large pot and add tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, beef broth, and all seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cover and simmer 2-3 hours. Serve over spaghetti noodles and top with parmesan cheese.

NOTE: I know everyone has a favorite spaghetti recipe. This is a variation of one I found in TASTE OF HOME magazine with my own additions and deletions. We both really liked the flavor of it, so I thought I'd share. It makes a lot, so there is plenty to freeze for future meals! Hope you enjoy it, too!
